Wade Wilkes

Owner, and show host

A graduate of West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, Wade began his career as a Probation Officer before joining the KRFE family business in 1995.
Wade served in Infantry, Civil Affairs, and Psychological Operations, with multiple deployments to Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Bosnia, and Iraq. A Bronze Star recipient and combat veteran, he brings integrity, discipline, and leadership to everything he does, both in broadcasting and in the community.
Since taking over the station from his father, Big Ed Wilkes, in 1998, Wade has remained dedicated to preserving KRFE as Lubbock’s only locally owned radio station. He’s a strong supporter of small businesses, a fierce advocate for veterans, and a staunch defender of Second Amendment rights. Wade believes deeply in standing up for freedom, faith, and the values that make America strong.
 

Tony Thulin 'Dr.Love'

Tony Thulin is a former Army Veteran and has been with KRFE for several years now. He and Wade co-host The Wade Wilkes Morning show every Monday-Friday together. Catch him on the air at 7am every weekday.

Kim Davis

Show Host: Wade Wilkes Morning Show

Kim Davis has nearly 40 years experience in the public relations arena. A former print reporter, Davis also writes for multiple media outlets from magazines to newspapers. Since beginning her own business, Davis has successfully promoted clients, gaining regional, statewide and national attention to their endeavors. She serves as a co-host for conservative talk radio on KRFE AM580/95.9 FM and podcast on Spotify. You can tune in to hear her on Wednesdays through Fridays from 7am – 9am.

Bre Thulin

Bre is one of our esteemed show hosts, and helps with on-air marketing. When not at KRFE she can be seen with her husband Tony Thulin and three wonderful kids. 

Dan Baze

Dan Baze is a US Navy Veteran and seasoned entrepreneur with over 8 years of experience owning and operating his own agribusiness insurance company. You can catch Dan every weekday at 5pm on the Dan Baze Show.

Melody Wilkes

Business Manager

Melody has been the business manager here at KRFE for over a decade, and even had her own health show, "Your Health Today." In her spare time Melody is a Health Coach and Personal Trainer at Zach's Club.

Katherine Wilkes

Board Operator/Social Media Manager (Instagram)

Katherine has been at KRFE for 7 years. She does a little bit of everything, including running the KRFE Instagram page. Katherine recently graduated with her masters in Reproductive Physiology and now aims to become an endocrinology nurse practitioner.

Tyler is an active Texas Sherriff's Deputy and brings a fresh perspective from the field to the airwaves. A lifelong gun enthusiast and advocate for gun rights. Off duty you'll find him at the range or as a special guest on Gun Talk Tuesday.

Steve Burns

Show Host: Gun Talk Tuesday

Steve Burns is a lifelong shooter and hunter. He has been in the firearms industry since 2001 and owned LSG Tactical Arms since 2008. Steve is also a certified NRA instructor and consulted several manufactrers assisting them with both R&D and testing. Over the years Steve has also advised multiple law enforcement agencies, school districts, state legislators, congressman, and policy makers. Steve has been a part of gun talk Tuesday for more than a decade.
